I am excited you found me on this addition of Tuesday's Toolbox. Life has been so busy and is about to get busier as we get distance learning (homeschooling) for our 2 autistic grand kids next week. So while I have been trying to concentrate on important stamping things, they come first. My organizational skills are growing as we near this time in our lives. Hopefully this will be a bi-weekly post and soon grow into a weekly one. Dream big I always say!
Today, while making a card for Monday's Mojo, a weekly challenge in my private Facebook group, Dreamer's Stamping Klub, I realized I didn't have the size of die I needed for my sentiment. I had round ones, nope. Oval ones, nope. Hexagons, NOPE! I just wanted a plain simple one. So I went back to my stash of dies and found a shape I liked in Ornate Frames. It was in last years Holiday Catalog with the cutest spooks and I had to have it. I think I only used it a few times. I am glad it is in the new Annual Catalog this year. There are 11 dies in the set. AND NOT A ONE FIT MY SENTIMENT OR CARD LAYOUT!!! So I used my brain and came up with a solution

I Stamped my sentiment of Very Vanilla card stock
with a Blackberry Bliss Ink Pad.
I positioned the die on one end of the stamped image.
And then ran it through the Big Shot machine.
I removed the piece from the platform
and then placed the die
into the place I wanted.
In other words, I made the die fit
my sentiment! And again I ran it
through the die cutting machine.
Having the right tools made this so simple.
My sentiment was now the perfect size for my card!
It was much easier than writing this blog post! HaHaHa
I know we are all having a hard time with
the changes in our lives. I have lost a couple of people
I know to this pandemic. My hope is that my
posts will inspire you to jump into your craft.
And for a while, even if a short while,
take your mind off of the stress that surrounds us.
I am Dreamin' of my old normal.... you keep Dreamin' too.
